  • Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council supports a Happy Bride!

Just before Eid El Fetr Holiday, Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council donated the amount of $500 to Awlady Orphange. This amount was used to support their top priority need which was to help a young lady to purchase items to prepare for her marriage during the Eid holiday. The happy bride was excited to buy: perfumes, makeup, kitchen cabinet, baskets, mats, and other stuff that she needed. To know more about Awlady Orphange, please click here

Thank you Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council for making this possible for the happy bride.

  • HS Students give back to the Community!

Compassion, being one of CAC’s core values, led this year’s HS student council to donate $6000 USD of their prom money to the Egyptian Food Bank.
With all the uncertainty going on around the world, our students generously decided to make this donation, ensuring that around 800 families have all the necessities during the holy month of Ramadan.

  • Thank You PTO!

Shams Al Birr is a center that cares for blind, deaf, mentally and physically challenged children, as well as children with cerebral palsy.

Working with such a vulnerable group during a pandemic is hard. The center was concerned about providing a safe and sanitary environment in which to continue caring for the children.

They were in need of efficient thermometers, and a sterilization cabin that would sterilize people entering the main center.

With the CAC PTO donation of EGP 29,000, Shams Al Birr staff are able to purchase infrared thermometers and the sterilization cabin for their center.

CAC PTO are happy to support their important, valuable and kind work, and thankful to Emily Bobo Peebles who has applied for charity donations on behalf of this center.

The pictures are published here with approval.

Thank you to our amazing PTO!

  • LUCKY – our reporter from AMC-SNAP is enjoying his new bed!

AMC- SNAP  The Animal Medical Center & Spay/Neuter Awareness Program is a spay/neuter facility for street animals, to reduce their overpopulation in Cairo.

Lucky’s bed was among other pet supplies donated by our community through the New Year’s drive we had back in December.

In addition, the ES Production, Peter Pan, donated their ticket sale proceeds ($509.80) which allowed AMC-SNAP to purchase surgical materials used to sterilize and vaccinate 20 dogs only this week. They also got dry food and other needed supplies.
