Main Charecter In Dystopian Story

In my story, the main conflict will be that the government is not allowing anyone to leave their homes or work.  The reason they did that Is because 25 year old Jack was way to smart and causing to much trouble in the country. Due to his extreme intelligence, he was able to make tons of money and nobody was able to find out where he got it from. He gave lessons on how to make as much money. Later, hundreds of people were using his advice and became really successful. When everyone had so much money, they also had so much power making them able to control the government. Due to this the government to call for a complete country shut down.

How Does Mildred Symbolize All The Worst Aspects Of Society?

In the story Fahrenheit 451, Mildred represents the inherently selfish nature of society in Fahrenheit 451.

This is shown when we find out that she is more concerned about her personal well-being than anyone else’s. The author presents Mildred as a selfish person when he said “How long you figure before we save up and get the fourth wall torn out and a fourth wall-TV put in?” The quote shows how Mildred wants another TV, and the amount of money that it costs doesn’t concern her. Since Mildred has no respect for Guy or how hard he can work for his money, this can display selfishness. This is shows how Mildred symbolizes the worst part of society because in a society, the worst part is selfish people because they only focus on themselves instead of everyone in the community.  Overall, Mildred symbolizes a selfish part of the community.
