Highro Glyphics Newsletter Week of March 25, 2021

CAC High School Principal’s Notes

Dear parents,

There is much to celebrate this week! Congratulations and thanks are in order for many people.

Once again, CAC students demonstrated their resilience and creativity with a socially distanced, COVID mitigated, super fun Spirit Week. Congratulations to the Student Council for pulling off a great event, and congratulations to the Class of 2021 for their terrific win! Thanks to all who donated clothes for the clothing drive. Thanks to the Booster Club for providing tasty treats to end the week. And a huge thanks to Mrs. and Mr. Knox, who always go above and beyond in their support of Student Council.

Congratulations once again to the seniors in IB Visual Arts for a fabulous exhibition! Thanks to the Strings class for their beautiful performance at the opening reception.

This week Season 2 sports concluded with a virtual awards ceremony–congratulations to all the winners! Season 3 sports began their training and conditioning programs. Each season has seen greater student participation, and we are happy to have our Eagles engaged in safe and fun outdoor athletics.

We want to keep this momentum going into the last months of the semester. As we have tracked our community’s COVID data throughout the school year, two trends have been consistent: students sometimes contract the virus from their parents or other family members; when students get it from each other, it is the result of contact indoors, without masks, away from school. As we head into Spring Break, please remember that we all have a responsibility to look after our own individual health, as well as the health of everyone in our community. The best way to do that is for everyone–parents, students, and staff–to follow the guidelines we have heard so many times: Wear a Mask, Watch Your Distance, Wash Your Hands, Work Together.

Have a wonderful Spring Break, and stay safe!
