CAC High School Principal’s Notes

Dear parents,

Congratulations to all who were involved in the production of the HS Musical, The Theory of Relativity, which was presented on video to limited audiences in the theater this week. Our students demonstrated ingenuity, creativity, and resilience in putting together a remarkable production. Kudos to Mr. Lazar, Mr. McCuaig, and the entire student theater company for their fantastic work!

Congratulations also to our students who have been competing in the virtual NESDA Speech and Debate tournament. Good luck to all those who advanced to the elimination rounds! Thanks to Mr. Lindstrom and Mr. Bryans for their hard work as coaches and as tournament hosts.

The Spring Arts Festival begins next week and runs through May 11. There will be art displays and lunchtime musical performances spread throughout the campus.

The first IB exams begin Thursday, April 29. Good luck to all who are taking exams, and congratulations to our IB Diploma candidates on reaching the last stage of their rigorous, two-year academic journey.

All of these events demonstrate how our students have persevered in the face of adversity throughout this year. The circumstances of that adversity haven’t changed, so thank you for continuing to fight this pandemic and keep our school open through smart choices and actions: Wear a Mask, Watch Your Distance, Wash Your Hands, Work Together.

Stay safe!

Suggestions:

● Use a new study aid while doing homework (using notecards, or restating major topics in a drawing).

If you would like to share any activities or comments from this reflection, please email wellbeingreflections@cacegypt.org.
