What does your protagonist want? My protagonist wants to revolt against the government because he used to work with them in releasing mind-controlling gasses, and his wife died from a lung disease because of the gasses they are releasing in the air. To sum it up he wants revenge for his wife’s death,
What obstacles stand in your protagonist’s way? The government was standing in his way while he was trying to convince the society that they were getting hypnotized by the gasses in the air. He was getting death threats and beaten up by people that were sent from the government.
Specific Characteristics of your protagonist (appearance, special skills/abilities, knowledge) He was a 28-year-old man, tall and a bit weak, extremely smart, has blonde hair, white skin, has a special ability that makes him unaffected by the gasses, knows everything about the government because he used to work with them.

Mildred in Fahrenheit 451 Hassan Ellabban

Mildred is a perfect model of what modern-day society suffers from, which is being addicted to screens and social media. One quote that clearly explains Mildred’s problem is “Now, said Mildred, “my ‘family’ is people. They tell me things; I laugh, they laugh! And the colors!”. In this quote Mildred refers to the TV as her family which clearly shows how much Mildred cares about the TV and connects with it, as if she is talking about a human. In the modern day the society may not refer to their phone or TV as ‘family’, but they are heading that way.
