GreenTech Business Event
It has been another packed week here at CAC with two major events taking place, students attending a prestigious Green Technology event and everyone getting serious about exam preparations.
On Monday, we hosted the High School Recognition Night. This event is held annually with the purpose of highlighting and celebrating the achievements of high school students at the end of the year. CAC prides itself on an extremely rigorous academic program, supported by strong co-curricular programs in sports, arts and service. All of these areas, and the school’s core values, are reflected in the awards presented at this time of year. For your information and interest, a summary of all the HS award categories and the criteria students must meet in order to be eligible for an award can be found here. We are extremely proud of our entire community of hardworking, conscientious and impressive students. Look out for Honor Roll notifications at the end of the year as well when we wrap up and send out the end of year reports.
A small group of students were fortunate to be able to attend the American Chamber of Commerce Business Mixer focussed on GreenTech this week where the Egyptian Prime Minister was also in attendance as a guest speaker. Students who have shown a keen interest in environmental issues were selected and they represented CAC at this high profile event. There are a few pictures above and if you would like to read some of their reflections, you may click here.
We also had a wonderful Track and Field event at the Olympic Stadium last night. Our student athletes performed admirably and the joy of competition was palpable in the air. Go Eagles!
And finally, for students in Grade 11 and 12, there is Prom to look forward to this weekend. Always a highlight of the year for students, CAC is glad to see this event back after a two year break due to the pandemic.

Registration for the June 11 offering is now full. Students may still register at other locations in Cairo by going to act.org. Fall testing dates will be announced upon confirmation.
Please talk with your counselor if you have any questions about registering for the ACT. You may also refer to the CAC Counseling Resources page under the ACT section for more information.
Upcoming University Visits
Throughout the year, counselors keep the HS Counseling Resources page updated with upcoming university events and available summer programs. This will temporarily stop for summer break, and we will return to this practice in August. It is still highly recommended to research universities and continue virtual visits, or visiting a campus in person if possible.
