CAC High School Principal’s Notes
The COP 27 team in preparations
Green Team Initiatives
CAC Green Team at COP 27
As you may be aware, a dynamic group of CAC high school students has been successful in their bid to attend the COP 27 event in Sharm el Sheikh next week. Working under the guidance of faculty members Paulette Smith (biology) and Nick Kaufman (physics), the CAC Green Team put together a proposal to host a student-led discussion panel highlighting the sustainability work and environmental projects they have been involved in here at CAC and in the local community over the last couple of years. Their proposal was accepted and the team will be presenting at the COP 27 Green Zone next Thursday, 10th November. We are all very proud of their efforts so far and look forward to seeing the results of their work. I will share more information and photos after they return. In the meantime, keep an eye on our social media channels for live updates and stories as the event takes place.
Parent coffee
We were very pleased to welcome many parents to this week’s coffee morning presentation where we discussed curriculum review at CAC, WWW, Exams and study skills. You can find the slides that were used here. In addition, we shared study skills resources for parents to take away.
Halloween
We enjoyed the few days of festivities and dressing up here on campus for Halloween. Thank you again to our parent volunteers who decorated the HS lobby last week and also provided a special surprise for our Seniors.
Thank you Booster Club!

WWW update
Look out for an email later tonight (around 6:00 pm) announcing your child/ren’s WWW allocations. There has been a lot of excitement and a fair amount of trepidation from students about the selections and we know that some students may be disappointed with their final result. Please help your child understand that we will do the best we can to ensure that they attend a WWW experience they enjoy but that the demand for international trips exceeded the amount of spaces we have been able to offer; some students will be disappointed tonight and may need some support with that.
