CAC Wrestling Team on their way to Dubai!

Early this morning, the CAC wrestling team gathered outside the campus, ready to embark on their trip to Dubai. We are very excited to see this fixture back on the calendar after several years without it. The wrestling team have been honing their skills in the gym over the past few weeks and head out now to represent CAC in this international tournament. We wish them the best of luck. Go Eagles!

Math Updates

We had an informative parent session about the MS / HS math program at CAC this week. In the meeting, we shared information about the curriculum review work underway and new textbook resources that will be in use next year for all HS classes. If you were unable to attend, you can find the slides that were used below.

Math meeting slides

Today in math class, students in IM1 and IM2 engaged in a “math fun challenge” during the last block. In one room, students watched math videos and discussed some math concepts and big ideas. In another room, they worked in teams to “escape the room” using algebra 1 skills like solving equations, graphing lines, etc. The teachers will be seeking feedback from the students to gauge the effectiveness and enjoyment levels of the session. Finding ways to make mathematics learning engaging, relevant and enjoyable are important tools in the math teachers’ toolbox for effective teaching and learning.

Math Fun!
