CAC High School Principal’s Notes
Enjoying the Spring weather on campus
We have been enjoying the wonderful Spring -like weather here on campus this week following last week’s well-earned break. Energy levels are high and we are thrilled to see students diving back into their learning and activities with all the vigor we have come to expect of our learners.
Quarter 3 Reports and Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences. Next week, Quarter 3 progress report cards will be issued, giving you an opportunity to sit with your child and reflect on their current progress at this halfway point in the second semester. A little later in the month—on the 28th and 29th of March—you are invited to join us for parent-teacher-student conferences which will take place on the Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. An email was sent home earlier this week with details regarding the conferences. Please note that the signups for appointments will begin next week on Monday 20th March. Appointments tend to get booked up quickly so we strongly advise you to login to Skyward on the 20th to secure your appointments with teachers. We have increased the overall number of appointments available this time after parent feedback in October. However, there will never be enough appointment slots available for everyone to secure one. For this reason, we have brought back the open drop-in session in the gym on Wednesday afternoon to provide an opportunity for you to meet with teachers if you have been unable to secure appointments.
Go Screaming Eagles! As you are reading this, three of our Eagles sports teams are in Europe to represent CAC at the ISAA Season Two Sports tournament, battling it out on the basketball courts and in the swimming pool in Basel and Athens. Go Eagles!
WWW Survey It’s hard to believe it, but we are already starting to work on options for the 2023-24 Week Without Walls (WWW) programs, which will take place this October. To aid in our planning, community feedback from this year’s offerings will be deeply appreciated. Please take a few minutes to complete the WWW Survey to share your experiences with the February 2023 WWW program. You will find it here. Thank you.

“Joy for Janitors” Project
Dear HS Parents/Students,
This is the last week of the third grade “Joy for Janitors” project. As a reminder, we are collecting food and books that will be given to the janitors at CAC. We are collecting Ramadan foods such as dates, dried fruits, sugar, honey and shredded coconut. We are also collecting books for the school age children of the janitors (children 4-12). They can be in English and/or Arabic. Or you may give a money donation to the secretaries in the HS office. We have already collected a lot of food and books, but need more. We have over 55 janitors at CAC and we want to give them a nice gift this year. The final date is March 21st.
Thank you for your support.
