CAC High School Principal’s Notes
IB / AP Art Exhibition
In a school as busy as CAC, it’s sometimes hard to decide what the highlights are. However, this week, one of our year long highlights took place on campus—the IB / AP art exhibition. This event is a wonderful annual showcase of student creativity and artistic talent. The artwork on display reflects not just the students’ creativity but also the deep and critical thinking about issues which are meaningful to them. Exploring these important ideas through their artwork is a defining characteristic of a quality visual arts program and here in the CAC high school we are proud of our students’ achievements. We should also take a moment to thank our talented art teachers who guide them in this creative journey through their high school years.
On the other side of campus this week, we were thrilled to see more than 120 students sign up for the track and field season sports, in addition to those who have also signed up for baseball, softball and the other season three sports. The popularity of these programs continues to be impressive. The coaches will work with these young athletes through the season and we look forward to some competitive events later in the year. Go Eagles!
Looking ahead to the next few weeks we have several holidays to look forward to. The two Easter breaks, followed closely by the Eid holiday, will be a welcome opportunity for students to refresh themselves. For our Grade 12s, the work will continue as the IB exams are now looming close and the semester feels like it is nearing the end. We encourage all our students to not only take advantage of the holidays for rest but also to fully commit themselves to their learning in the days of school that we have in April and May. June 7 will soon be upon us, and that will be the 22-23 school year wrapped up!
In the meantime, we look forward to many more learning opportunities, events, tournaments, concerts and celebrations on campus in the final quarter, rounding out with the Graduation Ceremony on June 2nd at the Great Pyramids of Giza. Wishing you a restful and peaceful weekend.
