CAC High School Principal’s Notes
After a busy and focused few weeks of learning, we have finally reached the end of Quarter 3. Progress reports for Q3 will be issued next week, and you are invited to join us at parent-teacher-student conferences the following week.
Conferences
On Thursday March 20th from 8:00-10:00 am, you are welcome to drop in to the gym and meet any of your child’s teachers. If you prefer to make an appointment, starting on March 9th, please log into the Skyward system and schedule an appointment with your child’s teachers for March 20, from 10:45 am to 4:15 pm. If you are unable to attend the conferences at that time, please feel free to email teachers directly to arrange meetings with them at your convenience. We are all here and happy to help and support your child in their learning journey. More information will be sent in a separate email to HS parents this weekend.
On Monday night, we enjoyed a tremendous performance from this year’s varsity dance team. They entertained us with their physical storytelling before taking us on a journey across the world for an extravaganza of dance and music styles for all corners of the globe. It was a joyous celebration of physical creativity and internationalism..
We are all sending our best wishes to the Screaming Eagles basketball and swim teams who are currently in Europe, competing at various ISAA tournaments. The teams will no doubt be representing CAC in their normal excellent fashion. We look forward to hearing about their results at the end of the weekend. Go Eagles!

Make any notes on the form about making adjustments to the original requests. Students are asked to please return the form to the HS Counseling Office by Thursday, March 13th.
Grade 10 families: PSAT was held this week. The PSAT 10 was given to all 10th-grade students on March 4th, providing valuable practice in a standardized testing environment. This experience helps students develop pacing strategies for future exams. Once results are available, we will share them with students so they can use their scores to prepare for the ACT or SAT. Students will take the PSAT again in October of their junior year.

CAC Piano Recital
Calling all CAC pianists! We are thrilled to announce that we are hosting our first school-wide CAC Piano Recital to celebrate our talented pianists from across all three divisions at school. The recital will take place on Monday, April 28th in the CAC Theater from 6:00-7:30 PM. If you are interested in participating, please complete the Piano Recital Sign-up Form and submit a one minute video audition by Wednesday, March 26th.
Who Can Audition: This recital is open to all students and teachers/staff members who play the piano. We encourage a variety of musical styles and pieces, including duets and instrumental accompaniment, so let your creativity shine!
Important Guidelines:
• Your audition video just needs to be one minute, your actual performance should be no longer than 4 minutes.
• The audition piece is the one you plan on playing at the recital. Please include the name and composer of your piece.
• Ensure the video is clear, well-lit, and with good sound quality.
• Open to all grade levels and teachers/staff.
• Selection Process: A panel of teachers will review all submissions and will pick a few performers from each division. You will be notified by April 7 if you have been selected. Selected performances will be featured in the recital, so be sure to give your best performance!
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact Ms. Dolly Shalaby or Ms. Tai Torky.
Happy playing, and good luck with your audition!
