CAC High School Principal’s Notes

HS Faculty and Staff 2025-2026

HS Teachers Professional Learning Time

Two weeks of learning done! This second week of the year has been spent establishing routines and expectations, as well as learning about course syllabi and students getting to know each other in their classes. Add/Drop is now over and student schedules are settled for the semester. The enthusiasm levels have been high and we are all excited to get the year up and running.

Soccer Try-outs

Volleyball Try-outs

Project Adventure in PE

It was wonderful to see so many students come out to the activities fair last week, and the athletics tryouts this week, despite the hot weather. Watching them apply themselves with commitment and a sense of fun on the fields, track and in the gym was a fantastic reminder of what makes our CAC sports program so dynamic and engaging.

Next week, the High School is pleased to host our annual Back to School event (Monday 1 Sept, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.). Back to School is an opportunity to meet teachers, counselors and other faculty to learn more about the academic program, courses studied and HS support structures this year. I hope you will be able to join us at this important first event of the year. Parents are encouraged to arrive between 3:30 and 3:45 to collect your child ‘s schedule. There will be a brief introduction in the theatre followed by time to visit all of all of your child’s classes through the afternoon.

Please note that September 4 will be a holiday for CAC. There will be no classes on that day.

With the busy first two weeks over, I’m sure our students are ready for the weekend. I wish you all a safe, relaxing time, whatever you may have planned.

HS Principal

From the PTO

We’ve all completed the first full week of school! Great job, everyone!

At the start of the year, much of our focus is on building community. One way PTO supports this is through informal WhatsApp groups that help parents connect. Please note these are not official school communication channels.

We offer broad groups for each division (Elementary, Middle, High School), grade-level groups, and classroom groups in Elementary. Each serves a unique purpose, so it’s helpful to join the ones relevant to you. Division-level chats are best for announcements or questions that affect the whole division. To share a community event, please contact a group admin who can forward your message to keep chats from becoming cluttered.

For the Elementary School, there will be one main channel for announcements and reminders. This helps us avoid repeated messages across multiple chats and keeps communication clear and organized.

If you need a link to join, email CACPTOOC@cacegypt.org with your phone number, and our Outreach Coordinator will connect you.

We also invite all new and returning parents to a Coffee Morning on Sunday, September 7th, at 8:00 AM in the PTO Lounge (Admin building, 1st floor). Come meet other parents, connect with the PTO team, and enjoy coffee and light refreshments as we look ahead to an exciting year!
Warm regards,
The PTO Team
