Highro Glyphics Newsletter Week of May 12, 2022

CAC High School Principal’s Notes

It’s hard to believe that we have only been back from the Eid break for five days! It has been a very busy week for everyone.

Our Grade 12 IB students continued with their exams this week with a few of them now having completed all their exams. There’s still a week to go for others with the French, Spanish and Chemistry exams remaining. Next Friday, these students, along with many of their peers will be celebrating the end of IB exams at Prom!

Also next week, we are looking forward to the High School Recognition Night event where we celebrate the academic achievements of many of our students. If your child received an email about the event they are the recipient of an award and we look forward to welcoming them and you on Monday at 6:30 p.m. This is the first time since 2019 that the event has been held face-to-face.

There’s plenty of time for everyone to make that final push towards success. We have four weeks of school left with the final day of the year for students being June 8. Semester 2 reports cards will be sent home soon after that along with Honor Roll recognition for those with a GPA scores of 3.4 or higher. Grade 11 IB students will also receive their current IB scores at that time. (Please note that these are NOT predicted IB grades. I will send home more information about this to that cohort soon). Finally, don’t forget that end of year exams will run from May 30 for Grade 12 and begin on June 1 for Grades 9-11.
