CAC High School Principal’s Notes

Seniors and parents think about college applications

First volleyball match of the season

Parents as Partners

Building on the success of last week’s parent coffee, we welcomed a group of parents new to CAC for a coffee morning on Wednesday where we discussed the ongoing transition process for new students and families. The community feeling of CAC is noticed immediately with families reporting their children are feeling welcomed and settled already. Next week we will host a special coffee morning for Grade 9 parents. If you have a child in Grade 9 this year, I hope you will be able to join us (Tuesday 13 Sept, 9:00 a.m.).

It was also wonderful to see our Class of 23 seniors with their parents attending the Grade 12 College Night. The counseling team provided information about the university application processes in some of the major destination countries for our students. In addition, there were parent forums where we discussed ways for parents to effectively support their child through this process. We all wish the very best of luck to our graduating class for the year ahead! Grade 12 parents, don’t forget to join us for the IB information night next week on Monday.

Sports Games

This week we were pleased to see our volleyball and soccer teams in competitive action in matches against local schools. These early games are helping our teams to develop and test their abilities in competition conditions. We are looking forward to more opportunities for all the teams to experience matches and tournaments as the season continues.
