CAC High School Principal’s Notes

IB Exam

Preparing for Semester Exams

After enjoying a series of refreshing long weekends, we’re now buckling down with our books as we approach the final stretch of this semester. It’s incredible how quickly the school year has flown by! As we near the end, it’s crucial for students to finish strong by gearing up for their semester exams. Crafting a study timetable that carefully balances their time and spreads out their revision is key.

If students find themselves needing assistance with time management or creating a study plan, they’re encouraged to reach out to their counselors or teachers. Throughout high school, we’ve prioritized teaching self-management and time management skills, which prove especially valuable during exam periods.

Effective studying hinges on employing specific strategies. For parents seeking guidance on study strategies, they can find more information through the link provided here.

At the same time, we want to remind everyone that maintaining a sense of well-being is just as important as academic preparation. Exam periods can be stressful, so it’s essential for students to look after their mental and physical health. Getting enough sleep, eating well, taking short breaks, staying active, and connecting with friends or family can all help manage stress and support a balanced approach to studying. If students are feeling overwhelmed, we encourage them to speak with a trusted adult, counselor, or teacher — they’re not alone.

Please check the Morning Announcements for information regarding exam schedules, upcoming SAT/ACT exam sessions, and more important news for the CAC HS Community.

INJAZ is a year-long high school program where students form their own companies, develop real business plans, and compete in a national showcase. Our CAC students have been working incredibly hard on their projects, and we’re excited for them to share their ideas on this big stage.

We warmly invite parents to stop by, especially for the closing ceremony. Whether you’re simply curious or are considering INJAZ for your child next year, feel free to check it out!
