CAC High School Principal’s Notes
Green Team Clean Up
Last weekend, our intrepid, eco-conscious Green Team organized a cleanup of the area surrounding our school campus. Students took the initiative to dedicate their time to improving our immediate community. The Green Team is always seeking meaningful projects that raise awareness about environmental issues, both on campus and beyond.
As you can see from the photos, they collected an impressive amount of trash in a short period of time. Positive actions like these remind us of our shared responsibility as global citizens to focus on sustainability and to make a positive difference. Well done to the team!
The annual Peace Day assembly offers us a meaningful moment to pause and consider, together with our students, what it means to live with empathy, respect, and understanding in a world that can sometimes feel divided. At our school, we are deeply committed to helping young people grow as global citizens. That means equipping them to navigate differences of opinion in ways that foster connection instead of conflict, choosing compassion and dialogue over hostility. We want our students to recognize the role they can play in shaping a more peaceful, respectful community—both within our school and in the wider world.
WWW Information Fair
This week we were excited to launch our Week Without Walls program with an engaging student information fair. Week Without Walls is designed to bring our mission to life by encouraging students to learn, explore, and have fun through experiences that build character and deepen their sense of global citizenship. Through opportunities in service, adventure, language and culture, and sustainability, students will step outside the traditional classroom to take part in meaningful, hands-on learning. These experiences not only enrich their education but also nurture qualities such as responsibility, perseverance, compassion, and creativity, guiding them toward values and decisions that will shape their future.
We look forward to an inspiring Week Without Walls and to seeing our students grow through these unforgettable experiences! Please see below for important WWW dates to note.
Go Eagles!
Finally, good luck to our Swimming and Volleyball Eagles who are travelling this weekend to compete in the first international tournaments of the year!

Counseling Department Announcements
Week of September 25, 2025
Grade 10 Seminars held this week
The Counseling Department has begun working with Grade 10 students through our start-of-year seminars, designed to provide a check-in and help students set meaningful goals for the year ahead. These sessions give students the opportunity to reflect on their progress and to begin thinking about how they want to grow academically, socially, and personally this school year. Students were also able to view the preliminary list of schools that will be present at the upcoming University Fair, which is an excellent opportunity for students to meet university representatives, ask questions, and begin exploring future options.
Grade 11: PSAT in October
All juniors will be taking the PSAT on October 13th. Not only does this test give them valuable practice for the SAT and ACT, but for U.S. students, it also opens the door to the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program (National Merit), which can bring recognition and scholarship opportunities. The PSAT helps students see their strengths and identify areas to focus on as they prepare for the SAT and future college admissions. Sophomores will also get their turn in the spring with the PSAT 10, giving them early experience with the test and a head start on building confidence for 11th grade.
Upcoming University Visits:
Wednesday, October 1st, 11:15 am-12:00 pm outside the high school
Monday, October 13th, MS Hall- 5:15-5:45 pm: Student Session- an overview of Tufts, admissions decision plans such as ED, ED II, EA and RD & tips on writing supplemental for selective universities. Students will be sent an RSVP soon.
