Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was a four day week due to the celebration of the Revolution Day holiday. I trust you had some family time.
Our eighth grades are well on their way, working on their Passion Project. For those of you who are new to our community, the Passion Projects are done by eighth-graders only. The student’s focus is applying one of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals of the UN into an active project. In April, students will do a presentation to a panel of experts. Students started working in groups back in December and have been committing Thursday afternoons to execute their project.
We will be hosting our Annual Middle School Talent Show on Thursday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Be prepared to be dazzled by dancers, singers, guitarists, pianists, and so much more!! Come out for a great night of entertainment, fun, and surprises in the CAC Theater. Tickets sales are taking place during lunch in front of the MS Office from Sunday through Thursday for 50 LE. All proceeds will be DONATED to a designated Middle School charity – extra donations are welcomed and appreciated. We have an all-star line-up of Middle School talent.
The new date for “The World Needs A Father” presentation is Saturday, February 8th. The event will be organized in the following manner.
Time | Event Mission |
9: 00 – 11: 00 am | Father-and-child bonding |
11:10 – 12:10 pm | Parenting tips – Mother and Father |
12:20 – 3:00 pm | Principal and Father Forum |
If you are interested in attending please sign-up using this TWNF Sign-up sheet. All participants will be asked to contribute 100 LE to cover the cost of the snacks for the day. There will be organized activities for students between 11:10 -12:10 pm. Following the parenting tips session, the child and mother are invited to leave.
Thank you for all you do to support the middle school.

New parent orientation to the CAC libraries – Feb. 5
The CAC Libraries would like to invite our new parents to an orientation session. We will be demonstrating the use of our library catalog and all the print and digital resources available. The session is also available to our “old” parents who’d like a refresher.
To prepare for the session, please be sure to see the CAC Tech Office to register your mobile device on the school Wifi network for parents, and download the app Sora, which is the portal to our collection of ebooks and digital audiobooks.
Adjusted opening times for the MHS library
Due to reduced staffing with the retirement of our long time library assistant, Ms. Mervat , the MHS library will now be open from 7:45 to 4 during the week.
The libraries are also open most Saturdays from 10 to 2. Here is a list of the days when the library is open. (You may need to sign in to your school Google account to see this document.)
