Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. We have made it to the end of week nine of e-learning. I want you to know this journey would not have been possible without you working in partnership with the school. Those who benefit the most when there is a home-school partnership are the students.
Both, our students and teachers are practicing our core values of perseverance each and every day that we continue with our e-learning platform. During my conversation with students this week, we discussed the importance of building resilience and letting it carry us through difficult times.
This week a number of our students participated in the Cairo Round of the World Scholars Cup. The event took place over the course of two days. It included events such as team debates, scholar’s challenge, collaborative writing, scholar’s bowl, and Alpaca Mask Fashion Show. A huge thank you to Dr. Gallagher for organizing this event for our students. And thank you to Mrs. Nolasco, Mr. Miller, Mr. Brown, and Mrs. Goetting for their support/guidance.
Ms. Fahmy and Mr. Barens have been working hard to clean out all the student’s lockers. We now have all the lockers empty, and the bags are at the front gate with the student’s name and grade written on the bag. Please pass by and collect the bags as soon as you can. We don’t have anywhere to store them. In addition, given the cleaning that needs to take place this summer, any material left behind will be donated to charity, if not collected by June 9th.
Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
Middle School Principal
