Middle School Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents,

Thank you for reading this week’s version of the News and Views as we come to the end of Semester one, it’s hard to imagine I am saying those words already. I want to thank you for being there for your child and supporting teachers who did their best to make sure our students’ well-being came first, while keeping them engaged as best as they could online. Once again, the students’ resilience shines through brightly. I am very proud of them for how they have handled all the disruptions to their learning.

We have collected laptops, but of course, some students forgot to bring in their chargers and laptops. It is imperative that they remember to drop it off. It can be returned to the gate security guards with the student’s name on it.

The well-being days were proven to be just what our students needed. It is true that teachers were exhausted, and rightfully so, because the first half of the year has brought about so many changes. Nevertheless, it was encouraging to see the 65 remaining students on campus even if just for two days.

I want to wish everyone a safe and restful holiday and a Happy New Year. We are looking forward to seeing you in the New Year. Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,

Courtney Bailey
Middle School Principal

The CAC libraries wish our community restful and safe holidays, filled with family and reading. Post a “shelfie” (a selfie with a book) and tag it #CACEgyptReads to inspire the community to make a New Year’s Resolution to read more in 2021.

All library materials checked out in 2020 are due back on January 10, 2021, even if the campus is closed. There will be a drop box at the front gate during the break where you can return books early.

And of course, Sora is open 24/7. All you need is to download the app on to a mobile device (or log on to soraapp.com) and enter your CAC single sign on when asked for your Follett account.
