Middle School Principal’s Letter

Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. I want to wish you and your family a Happy New Year! And welcome you all back for the start of the second semester.

As we communicated yesterday, going forward, this is a schedule for January 17 – 21. On or before January 20, upon reviewing COVID-related data and the active case threshold, the administration will announce any updates.

I want to thank you for your flexibility by coming to school and collecting your child’s laptop so that they could begin the first week of school in e-learning. Kudos! To the tech department, Mr. Bustamante, Ms. Abdelhady, Ms. Kamel, and Mr. Iskander for their hard work over the winter break to get the laptops ready for distribution.

This is a reminder that we will be posting Semester one report cards on Thursday, January 21st. We hope that you will find the information about your child, both useful and informative. When you view the reports next Thursday, we encourage you to talk with your child about their Approaches to Learning (ATL’s). While we report separately on these, we see a direct correlation between learning traits and academic success.

We will have a Principal Coffee Morning next Wednesday, and I hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,

Courtney Bailey
Middle School Principal

Three Cheers

Three Cheers to all students who, despite the situation and mixed feelings, tried their best to stay active and engaged in their learning this week

Three Cheers to all teachers for their flexibility and patience. During these times, many are managing the dual roles of teacher and parents.

Three Cheers to Mr. Bustamante, Ms. Abdelhady, Ms. Kamel, and Mr. Iskander for their help with the laptop distribution.
