Middle School Principal’s Letter
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was another full week of face-to-face learning thanks to our students and parents being responsible and following our mitigation protocols.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the parents who were in attendance at the Principal Coffee Morning. We hope the session was informative, and that you came away feeling uplifted about the course selection process. We highly encourage you to sit down with your son or daughter and help them to select the year-long as well as semester electives.
We posted our first Progress Report Cards for Semester two today. We reported out on the student’s commitment to their Approaches to Learning (ATLs).
- We will use standard ATL feedback (Consistently, Usually, Sometimes, and Rarely) to assess the students’ commitment to their learning.
- Only students receiving Rarely in the ATLs at school will receive a comment.
- New students will receive a comment welcoming them to CAC.
The MS athletics program started this week with Boys and Girls soccer. Students are training twice a week. Please be reminded that the training is from 3:15 pm – 4:15 pm, and we don’t have a late bus.
The grade seven students have been studying Poetry and have come up with some fantastic poems on display in our Poetry Corner.
In eighth-grade, the students are working on Essential Research Topics.
Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
Middle School Principal
