Middle School Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was an eventful week. With only five more days remaining before the Winter Break, it was great to keep us all busy with engaging activities.

In grade eight, social studies students studied different types of government and presented their constitution research topic.

Congratulations to Mr. McCuaig, Mr. Dzamashvili, Mr. Khalifa, Ms. Shalaby, and Mr. Lazar for their creativity and hosting the concert series. Last Thursday we had the Choir performance, and on Sunday we had the Strings concert that was well attended. It was the first time back watching a live performance in the theater for many. We continued with the series of concerts with the band performance on Tuesday night. The final version of the series of shows will be tonight.

Students were busy this week taking summative assessments as semester one comes to an end. It is hard to believe that the semester is about to end. The intramural sports season ended today with the soccer finals for boys.

Once again, we want to thank the Booster club for the hot cocoa and cookies given to students on Tuesday. Mabrouk to the PTO for organizing the book fair. It is always a special event for students and parents.

We’ve begun auditioning for the Talent Show that will take place early in the second semester, in January. This is always a fun night, and our students always look forward to it.

Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
