Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was another solid week of teaching, learning, and having fun.
We have fewer cases of COVID in middle school. We believe this is a result of spreading the students out and making sure that everyone is implementing our mitigation protocols. I want to compliment our students for how well they adapted to us, requiring masks in class for all.
We posted the Semester one report cards today. We hope you will find the information about your child both useful and informative. When you view the reports we encourage you to talk with your child about their Approaches to Learning (ATLs). While we usually report separately, we see a direct correlation between learning traits and academic success.
In grade seven science, the students experiment with Magnesium this week.

We hope to bring you the Talent Show in February sometime. However, so much depends on the Omnicom variant and its spread. We are hoping that we can go ahead with the event because it showcases how talented our students are and should be celebrated.
We will have a Principal Coffee Morning next Wednesday at 8:15 am. I hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
