Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views.
It was a week of planning and preparation for the upcoming Spirit Week and PRIME Trips.
We have spirit week from Sunday, March 20th, to Thursday, the 24th, and the Student Government Organization planned it. The week will be filled with positive, healthy, clean, fun activities, fundraising, and games. We ask that you support your child as they try to collect as many items as possible for the fundraiser.
During the week of March 27 -31st, our students will participate in a week filled with exploratory learning outside the classroom walls, taking place within and around Cairo. These PRIME Trips will allow students to participate in various day-trips and one overnight trip focused on history, culture, and adventure; while engaging in service and team-building activities. With middle school advisory teachers as chaperones, WellSpring, Basecamp, Muricata, and American Express Tours will organize and facilitate all the excursions. It will be a memorable experience for the students and teachers.
We want to thank all parents for supporting the students with elective selections. We are looking forward to next year when things return to normal. The planning for next year will begin once the trips are over. We will share more information in the coming weeks.
We will have our Parent Teacher Conferences online during the week of April 10th. We will have the after-school conferences on the 11th, with a full day on the 12th. Look for the notification to sign up on March 28th. We will leave this sign-up window open until April 5th.
The spring MAP testing will be taking place in mid-April. We are looking forward to seeing how much growth the students have achieved this year. We will be sharing more as the time draws near.
Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
