Middle School Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views.
It was another busy week in middle school with students’ focus shifting towards summative assessments as we get closer to the end of the school year.

Our highlight for this week was the student-led conferences. I was happy with the participation levels. The students benefited immensely from having the opportunity to share their learnings with their parents. I have no doubt that parents were impressed with the manner in which students could express and showcase their hard work.

Congratulations to all our Art students for the fantastic work they have done. Parents and community members continue to comment on how talented our students are, The art auction was a tremendous opportunity to showcase the talent we have here.

We had a transition meeting for the 5th grade parents who will be joining us next year in middle school. This was followed by the PRIME trips meetings for grades 6, 7, and 8. We do have a Cairo-based option as well for those parents who don’t wish to send their children away for a week.

A reminder that we had to move up the time for the Recognition Night Ceremony for the 8th graders from 6:00pm to 5:00pm. In addition, due to limited seating in the theater, and for mitigation purposes, we are only able to give each family two tickets. If you will not be able to attend please let us know so we can give someone else the chance to attend.

Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
