Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for reading this week’s News and Views. I hope you all had a lovely summer with plenty of quality time with family and friends.
It has been wonderful to see our students settling into the rhythm of school life again and exploring their new classes and teachers. For the incoming sixth-graders, it is the idea of now being in middle school and all the freedom they have gained. Students new to CAC are trying to navigate the school community and the changes to their lives.
We are thrilled to welcome new teachers to our division each year, and this year is no different. Two new teachers are joining us, and they bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Mr. Bassett will be teaching Grade 7 Math.
Mr. Stout will be teaching Grade 6 Science.
I am delighted to welcome our new families to our school community this year. To help you feel more connected, I invite all new parents to attend the Parent Coffee morning on September 11th. The session will be in MS 115 and begin at 8:15, offering an opportunity to meet fellow parents and learn more about our school.
We will have a new parent’s PRIME Trips/Cairo-Based presentation on Tuesday, August 27th. More information will be shared in the daily morning announcements.
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Back To School Night (BTSN) on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 5:00 p.m. The evening will commence with a comprehensive overview of the new school year. Following this, you can attend your child’s advisory class and follow their schedule for the evening. Please check your email from the middle school office for more information.
So things at school are consistent, the students enjoy being active, and we support it.
Thank you for your continuous support of the Middle School.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
