Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views.
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week across the globe, a time to honor the incredible individuals who shape our world through education. Every year around this time, when I see our seniors, I ask, “Where are you going to school next year?” As they share their exciting plans and accomplishments, I can’t help but wonder, “Do they ever pause to reflect on how they reached this point—on the teachers who helped make it possible?”
A teacher’s wisdom, creativity, and perseverance are among the most powerful forces in a young person’s life. Whether it’s helping a struggling reader find confidence, encouraging a budding artist, or sparking the curiosity of a future scientist, teachers play a vital role in shaping academic success and personal growth. Every student they uplift, every idea they nurture, and every quiet word of encouragement they offer leaves a lasting mark that extends far beyond the classroom and long after the school year ends.
This week, our students participated in MAP testing, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate how much they’ve grown as learners. From their conversations, it’s clear they’re proud of the progress they’ve made since the fall. We’ll be sharing their final results with you in the coming weeks.
We’re also looking forward to welcoming you on May 20th for our Student-Led Conferences. During this special event, students will take the lead in sharing their learning journey with you, highlighting the growth and accomplishments they’ve made throughout the year.
And today, we’re celebrating the Spring Social! Students will enjoy time in the pool, as well as fun activities in the gym and on the field. With beautiful weather ahead, it’s the perfect day for some outdoor fun and quality time together.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our Middle School.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
