Middle School Principal’s Letter
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was a week of focus on academics preceded by lots of fun during Spirit Week and PRIME Trips.
We want to say Ramadan Kareem to all the families who are observing the holy month of Ramadan. We wish you all the best. A kind reminder that all students are expected to participate in all classes as normal, with the exception of physical education where the program will be modified where necessary if fasting is being observed. Thanks to Ms. Genidy and her Public Art class for the Ramadan decorations around the building.
The second Semester Progress Reports is posted today on Skyward. Please take a moment to go over the report card with your child. We will have our Parent Teacher Conferences online next week. The after-school conferences will be on Monday April 11th, with a full day on the 12th. Your child is required to attend the conference with you.
The first of two MAP testings will be taking place next week Wednesday, April 13th. The first test will be Reading. The second test will be Math on Wednesday, April 20th. We are looking forward to seeing how much growth the students have achieved this year. We will administer all tests first thing in the morning. Please support your child’s wellbeing and success by making sure that they have had enough rest the night before.
Last weekend we hosted the Cairo Round of the World Scholar’s Cup, welcoming students from five other schools onto campus to compete with 33 of our middle and high school students, over two action-packed days of academic endeavors. Read more.
The PRIME Trips were a huge success and our students and teachers really benefited from having that shared experience, as we prepare for the stretch drive to the end of the school year. Here are photos from the grade levels.
We are in the process of looking carefully at how we can streamline the use of technology at CAC from grades 8 -12. There will be more information to come in the coming weeks.
Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.
In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
