Counseling Department Announcements

High School Families,

As the academic school year comes to an end, we want to wish you and your family good health for the upcoming summer break. After a very challenging spring semester, we can all use some time to rest and reduce screen time. We hope that you will take some time for self care and connecting with friends and family.

Since many of our summer plans have been postponed or cancelled, you may be looking for some type of activity to keep yourself engaged in something you are passionate about. Below are two links that have a plethora of opportunities to keep your mind engaged in activities that are positive and fun. The first link focuses on social-emotional well-being, mental health and physical health. The second link has more academic based options. Many are free or low cost, and although they do involve some screen time, it would be an activity of your own choosing, so you can pick one that suits your summer schedule.

We hope you are able to have a peaceful and restful summer break.

Student Physical Reminder for 2020/2021

Dear Parents,

If your student will be entering grades 3,6 or 9 next school year, we ask that he/she is seen and examined by a doctor, and a physical completed and sent to the health office on or before the first day of school in August.

We are more than happy to accept early completed physicals as of now, either by email or hand-delivered to security at the front gate.

All library materials due now

Thanks to all the families who have returned library books to the front gate. The library drop box will remain at the front gate all weekend, and books will be checked in on Sunday morning.

Returning students have the option of requesting a renewal until August 12 of the books they have at home. Students wishing to take advantage of that must email Mrs. Fitzgerald, librarian@cacegypt.org.

Withdrawing students and students with books that were due before the campus closed, must return their books or pay the replacement fines. If you fall in this category and have not received an invoice from me, please email me as above.

Sora is open all summer long!

You can keep reading with our ebook and digital audiobook collection on Sora. Download the Sora app to your mobile device and you’ll always have a book close at hand. Click here for a video tutorial on how to access Sora. You only need to remember that when Sora asks for your Follett account, it means your CAC username and password.

Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council supports a Happy Bride!
Just before Eid El Fetr Holiday, Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council donated the amount of $500 to Awlady Orphange. This amount was used to support their top priority need which was to help a young lady to purchase items to prepare for her marriage during the Eid holiday. The happy bride was excited to buy: perfumes, makeup, kitchen cabinet, baskets, mats, and other stuff that she needed. To know more about Awlady Orphange, please click here.

Thank you Cairo USAGSO Girls Scouts Council for making this possible for the happy bride.
