Highro Glyphics Newsletter Week of November 4, 2021

CAC High School Principal’s Notes

There was great excitement on campus this week as the construction fence around the newly refurbished HS building came down. Visitors to campus can now clearly see the building exterior and enjoy the views across the field. When the final legal processes are completed and the building is officially signed over to CAC, we will begin a phased move in plan. We will begin with Science and Design, and then other departments will follow soon after. It won’t be long until we will be able to offer some guided tours of this new learning space for our parent community!

Planning for our upcoming Week Without Walls trips (Feb 27-March 3) is well underway. Teacher teams have been formed and now detailed trip proposals are being compiled. We are designing the program to ensure a range of options for students and families to choose from that cater for all comfort levels and preferences. We are researching and investigating what options there are for international travel as well as trips and experiences within Egypt and here in Maadi. The return of WWW is an exciting development and CAC is one of the very few schools in the world currently able to contemplate running such experiences for students. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements very soon.

Thank you to our wonderful Booster Club volunteers who were here on campus (again!) to offer Halloween treats for our high school students after the Halloween Fest costume parade on Sunday. I hope you enjoy the photos from that fun-filled event.

This will be a busy weekend of sports at CAC (and beyond) with both a swim meet and a soccer tournament taking place on campus. Next week, it will be the turn of the volleyball teams with their final tournament happening. In addition to this, we are very excited that our cross country team is currently on a bus enroute to Gouna to compete in the Cross Country Tri-Factory event. This is the first overnight field trip experience to run since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. We wish all our CAC Eagles the best of luck in these events.
