Gifts for Seniors

The Booster Club Christmas Tree

Thank you to senior parents and Booster Club

It’s that time of year and the holiday season is almost upon us! We must say a big thank you to our senior parents for providing a wonderful holiday celebration for the senior class today. Hot chocolate and holiday cookies were well received by the students, as were the thoughtful gifts.

Also, a big thank you to the ever-wonderful Booster Club for providing us with a fantastically decorated Christmas tree which is now proudly on display in the Reading Room. If you look closely, you may find a photo of your child adorning the tree too!

Speaker Series

As part of our ongoing Speaker Series, we were happy to welcome three distinguished guest speakers on campus this week. These industry leaders delved into the dynamic world of business, offering valuable insights into the future of finance and the pivotal role of disruptive technologies in their professional journeys. What made these sessions truly special was the empowering perspective our speakers shared about breaking barriers in traditionally male-dominated fields. They passed on invaluable tips and advice to inspire our students, particularly our young female leaders, on navigating and thriving in the business arena. We’re grateful for these enriching conversations that not only broadened our students’ understanding of career possibilities but also ignited their aspirations for the future. A huge thank you to our guest speakers for their time and wisdom!

Exams update

Semester exams run from Sunday December 10 – 13, 2023, with make-up exams on Thursday, December 14. Students with off campus privileges are allowed to leave campus after their last exam for the day. For students who do not have off-campus privileges, their parents may approve temporary privileges to leave campus early during Exams Week. In these cases, parents should email the HS office to give temporary authorization, and the student should stop by the HS Office with his/her ID card.

Students must sit for their exams as scheduled. Only in cases of medical or family emergency may a student retake a missed exam. If a student is unable to attend school for these reasons, parents are asked to email the school by 9:00 am, and submit documentation upon their child’s return to school. Please feel free to email Ms. McCall if you have any additional questions about attendance during exams week.

We wish students all the best in their endeavors next week.

Good Luck in your Exams!

Winter Break and Holiday

At this point, we’d like to take the opportunity to wish you all a fantastic holiday. Although it is still a week away, that time will pass quickly before we know it will be in the holiday season. Wishing everybody a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year and we look forward to welcoming you back for semester two on Monday, January 8.

From the PTO

CAC PTO has some initiatives which need your support.

Our Health & Wellness Committee is working to bring an exciting day of family fun and fitness to our campus! We envision an event that encompasses the many dimensions of wellness and need volunteers to bring it to life. If this is a subject you’re passionate about and you’d like to have a role in this inaugural event, please join our Health & Wellness Committee WhatsApp group to get involved.

Coming up fast we will have one of our community’s signature events, the International Festival! We already have 16 countries signed up to host booths in the festival on February 16th. However, we know our community is composed of people from more than 50 different countries!! Make sure we all have a chance to celebrate your heritage by filling out this Google Form and joining our International Festival WhatsApp Group.

We look forward to working with you!
