Middle School Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to read this short week’s version of the News and Views. We would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, even if you don’t celebrate the holiday, and we hope that you take the time to stop and be thankful for things in your life.

On Tuesday, it was a special day for the GSS staff and community members, and everyone involved in helping out with the lunch. We know that gratitude is a social emotion, and it was great to see everyone’s smiling faces as the GSS lunch brought people together. Despite not being able to host the lunch on campus, a lot of effort was made by the CAC community to make sure lunch was delivered to the families of our GSS staff. Thank you to Ereeny, all STUCO students, teachers, administrative assistants, and the PTO volunteers, for their efforts to plan and implement this community act of kindness.

One of our strategic pillars is well-being. On Tuesday, we had an assembly to introduce our students to Positive Education and the Science of Wellbeing. Next Monday will be an ERD day. On that day, we will be having a well-being day in middle school. We will use the data from a survey the students filled out, to spearhead the topics that are important to them. The sessions we will be offering are based on the needs of our students.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the grade-six students in Social Studies presented the Ancient Egypt Tourism video to a panel of experts. I want to thank the panelists for their time and efforts.

Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal

Help 2 Causes for the Price of 1
Help 2 Causes for the Price of 1 is a student-led project brought by the HS GISC team. Get your Christmas shopping done early by purchasing cute and trendy items, produced locally by low-income families and small artisans, purchased from the organizations of Tawasol and Neya. All proceeds go towards sponsoring a child’s education at Educate Me. It takes around 7,000 LE for one child’s education, so let’s help as many people as we can! Help support the causes by pre-ordering items from our pre-order form, or pass by one of our booths from December 5th – 9th at the front gate after school, or in front of the library and Coffee Bean during HS lunch. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact 23lahmed@cacegypt.org. We hope to see you at one of our booths!

The deadline to pre-order is the morning (8:00am) of Nov. 27 – The form will be closed by then.
