CAC High School Principal’s Notes

Well, the countdown has begun! The tradition of posting the graduating class baby pictures signals the final countdown for this year‘s graduation. It is a time of mixed emotions for the Class of 2024, and I take this early opportunity to wish them well in the final quarter in the run-up to their graduation at the pyramids.

A huge “Thank YOU” to all the families and students who participated in the recent parent-teacher conferences. The partnership between families and the school is essential in supporting students on their educational path. We hope you found the sessions informative and valuable. Your feedback matters to us, so please take a moment to share your thoughts in this survey.

NHS Induction Ceremony

This past week, we celebrated the accomplishments of our NHS students by welcoming 20 new members into the National Honor Society. The high academic standards and exceptional qualities required for NHS membership truly showcase the caliber of our student body.

Winter Sports Awards Night

The high school also had an amazing evening honoring our student athletes with sports awards. Athletes from various teams, such as swimming, wrestling, dance, and basketball, gathered to recognize their achievements throughout the season. Coaches delivered touching speeches acknowledging the students’ hard work, and the joy and pride on the athletes’ faces were evident.

As we transition to Season 3, we are thrilled to see over 100 students sign up for track and field, along with those joining baseball, softball, and other sports. The continued popularity of these programs is impressive, and the coaches are excited to work with these young athletes as they prepare for upcoming events.

Looking ahead, we have several holidays approaching, including Easter breaks and the Eid holiday. These breaks will provide students with a much-needed chance to recharge. For our Grade 12 students, the focus remains on the upcoming IB exams as the semester draws to a close. We encourage all students to make the most of the holiday breaks for rest, while also staying dedicated to their studies during the remaining school days in April and May.

As we anticipate the final quarter, we look forward to a host of learning opportunities, events, tournaments, concerts, and celebrations on campus. The school year will culminate with the Graduation Ceremony on May 31st at the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and rejuvenating long weekend.

Support Mothers and Babies in Need!

During this Ramadan season, let’s come together to make a difference in the lives of mothers and babies in our community.

The Caritas Organization in Egypt is dedicated to providing medical visits for mothers who lack the means to do so for their babies. To support this cause, we’re collecting donations to create goodie bags for these mothers to take home after their visits.

Simply drop off your donations in the red box located at CAC’s front gate (March 26 – April 7). Your generosity will make a meaningful impact on the lives of these families. Let’s show our support and compassion during this special time of giving.

For more information on the donation drive – check the poster.

Dear Parents,

The CAC Swim School staff welcomes your children to the Learn-to-Swim Program.

Learn-To-Swim
The Learn-To-Swim program is for new or beginner to intermediate-level swimmers ages 3 years old and up to help them improve their swimming skills and water safety knowledge. It’s a great program for swimmers who are not yet ready for the swim team but still want to be involved in swimming activities. Learn-to-swim classes begin at 3:25 pm and end at 4:15 pm.

A few items to bring to your attention :
• Classes are held every Tuesday from March 19th- May 14th, 2024.
• If your child normally rides the bus, please communicate with the Transportation Department about any changes. There is no ASA bus service on Tuesday.
• There are no lessons on early release days.
• Program fees are $90 for the 9-week session.

Children are not allowed on campus unsupervised after the school day. Parents are responsible for dropping in and picking up their children at the pool area for the class.

Thank you for your involvement as we strive to make your children’s learning-to-swim process enjoyable and safe.
