Middle School Principal’s Letter

Dear Parents,

Thank you for taking the time to read this week’s version of the News and Views. It was another fantastic week of exploring, learning, and having fun.

We ended last week with the Halloween Social, which was well attended. The students got to do some trick or treating and ended up with a few hours of having good clean fun. We want to congratulate our students for supporting the African Hope School with their donations. In addition, we would also like to thank the Booster cafe volunteers for keeping the students fed throughout the night!

The students and teachers came to school wearing their Halloween costumes, and we had an advisory door decoration competition. See the overall winner here:

On Monday morning, we kicked off the Battle of the Books in the theater. We currently have 17 teams made up of six students. It should be a wonderful experience for our students as we promote the joy of reading.

On Tuesday, during X-block, students explored Greek Mythology and examined a family tree of the Ancient Greek Gods.

Kudos to the moms who volunteer to sell pizza every other Wednesday! The students look forward to it, and we appreciate you taking the time to give back.

On Wednesday of next week, there will be a principal coffee morning held in room 115. We will begin at 8:15 am, and I am looking forward to seeing many of you there to discuss ways we can help students develop a growth mindset.

Finally, the Middle School drama production this year is Egyptian Pirates! The show opens in the Theatre on Thurs. Nov. 18th at 6:00 pm and Fri. Nov. 19th at 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm! Tickets are for 100 LE.

Thank you for your continuous support of the middle school.

In Partnership,
Courtney Bailey
The Middle School Principal
